Job Summary

The Junior Medical Officer is responsible for assisting in the management of enrolees' healthcare needs, ensuring efficient case management, and supporting healthcare provider relationships within the Noor Health network. The role involves facilitating provider accreditation, supporting referral processes, and ensuring proper resolution of medical related concerns in line with organizational policies. The Junior Medical Officer works under the supervision of the Senior Medical Officer and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

1. Case Management & Referral Support:

  • Assist in executing strategic plans to acquire and manage healthcare providers within the Noor Health network.
  • Support effective case management and referral of enrolees admitted to healthcare facilities.
  • Monitor and follow up on enrolees’ medical cases to ensure continuity of care.

2. Provider & Enrolee Engagement:

  • Participate in periodic monitoring and evaluation of healthcare facilities (HCFs).
  • Assist in conducting tariff negotiations for provider services.
  • Support healthcare provider (HCP) and enrolee sensitization programs.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Assist in hospital assessments, accreditation processes, and provider onboarding.
  • Contribute to the thorough assessment and credentialing of provider facilities.
  • Ensure timely attention to and resolution of provider-related issues.
  • Maintain compliance with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) guidelines and other regulatory requirements.

4. Data Protection & Confidentiality:

  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies.
  • Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
  • Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the appropriate company authority.
  • Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving security risks and best practices.

5. General Assignment:

  • Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the Company.
  • Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the company.
  • To provide supports to the Managing Director and Vice Chairman as may be required towards serving the Board, Management and staff.

Qualification

Education:

A Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS / MD).

Certifications and Experience:

A valid practicing license with 1-3 years of post NYSC experience, preferably within the Health Insurance/Managed Care environment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the workings of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) will be an added advantage.

KPIs and Performance Metrics

  1. Case Management Efficiency: Timely processing and resolution of enrolee referrals and medical cases.
  2. Provider Engagement: Positive feedback from healthcare providers on communication and support.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to NHIA guidelines and timely execution of required documentation.
  4. Process Improvement Implementation: Execution of at least 80% of recommended process improvements within designated periods.
