Job Overview
The UI/UX Specialist is responsible for crafting engaging, user-friendly digital interfaces that align with both business goals and user needs. Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, the Specialist will lead the design of intuitive web and mobile experiences. The role requires a blend of creativity, technical know-how, and a deep understanding of human-centered design principles to deliver functional and visually appealing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of user interfaces across all digital
platforms (web, mobile, dashboards, portals, etc.). - Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to support data-driven design decisions.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure technical feasibility and
seamless implementation. - Maintain consistency in visual and functional elements through the use of design
systems and brand guidelines. - Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to refine designs and improve
usability. - Ensure interfaces meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design
practices. - Support digital transformation initiatives by incorporating modern UI/UX trends and technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and contribute to evolving UI/UX design
standards.
1. Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related
information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies. - Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
- Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the
appropriate company authority. - Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving
security risks and best practices.
2. General Assignment
- Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the
Company. - Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the
company - To provide support to the Head of Information Technology as may be required
towards serving the Board, Management, and staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or
a related field. - 3–5 years of proven experience in UI/UX design roles.
- A strong portfolio showcasing UX thinking and design execution across digital
platforms. - Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of UX best practices, interaction design, and usability principles.
- Experience with design systems and front-end collaboration workflows.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and responsive design concepts (optional but a plus).
- Exceptional visual design skills with an eye for typography, colour, and layout.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
KPIs and Performance Metrics:
- Timeliness and quality of UI/UX deliverables.
- User satisfaction and usability metrics (e.g., Net Promoter Score, task success rate).
- Reduction in user errors or complaints post-implementation.
- Adherence to brand and design consistency across products.
- Efficiency in turnaround time for feedback implementation and iterations.
